About Me
Jaci Two Bears
Hello, Star Gifts family and friends. I am an enrolled member of the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe. I was born and raised in Cannon Ball on the family ranch. I have 3 grown children who have flown the nest, so my empty nest syndrome has helped free up my time to do some sewing and crafting. I am the proud grandmother to my grandson, who for the past 3 years has kept me on my toes and loves sitting in my crafting room cutting fabric or helping me with the sewing machine while I am working on a project. I have been sewing for the past 40 years. I credit my home economics teacher “Ma Brien” for opening my eyes to the art of sewing. My grandmother sewed star quilts, so I guess it is safe to say that sewing is my blood. I love the quiet hum of the sewing machine. When doing projects for my loved ones, I will think about them during the process, how they will wear/use the item, and how they have touched my life. I have made New Year's Eve dresses, ribbon shirts, men’s dance shirts, ribbon skirts, and a grandma's denim quilt at my sewing machine. I recently joined the social media craze and did my first beaded Fedora hat with a decorative hat band. My ribbon skirts are made with adjustable waists so skirts fit most and can be shared with loved ones. Edges are complete with a serger to eliminate fraying and have pockets. I have a variety of fabrics to choose from military, native design, and western. I can do customized orders from
ribbon shirts (store-bought shirts or custom-created shirts)
ribbon skirts (made-to-order sizes or adjustable waist)
designed fedora hats
beaded baseball caps
Thank you, Star Gift family and friends, for your support in helping native artists share their
creations.
